Homestead Company Review Plus A Giveaway!

The first time I laid eyes on the Homestead Company's website I knew I would fall in love with their products. They make high quality natural skin care products for moms, babies and everyone else. They carry a full baby line, as well as spa and skincare products and an array of gifts! I had nothing but wonderful customer service from this amazing company as well!

The Homestead Company was created in 2005 as a "good-neighbor" program to help moms find the best natural products for babies. Each of their patented formulas targets specific skin care and nutritional concerns. The founder uses all formulas on her own five children! That just shows it is wonderful stuff! They do not outsource their work and everything is made of high quality ingredients, right here in the USA!

I just love the vibe of this company and I really feel like they care what gets put on my skin and on my children's skin. Anything that touches your skin goes into your body. I hate toxin laden lotions and washes. All I ever think is "lord knows what is in here". That stuff is going into our bodies! I cant stress the importance of buying natural health and beauty products. So many people believe that buying organic and natural only matters when it comes to food, but that just isn't true. Chemicals from washes and lotions are going into your pores. Okay, off my soapbox.

They generously let me review 2 items form their collections and I will dish about them now!

The Baby Wipe Companion

Anyone who reads this blog knows I cloth diaper and always will. It is awesome for the earth and awesome for my baby's behind! I don't know if I would call it luck per say, but right after I got this spray, my baby girl got her FIRST diaper rash ever. She had pooped in the night(which she never does!) and went a long period of time sitting in it. Boy did I feel horrible in the morning! I cleaned her gently and sprayed her little booty with this miracle spray at every diaper change. By the end of the day her booty looked a thousand times better! The spray claims to hasten healing of diaper rash and provide relief and I witnessed this first hand! This spray contains no alcohol, fragrance or anything irritating so it is safe for even super sensitive skin. It doesn't stain cloth diapers either! woohoo! I truly hate Balmex with a passion. I hate that white stuff! I hate touching it and smelling it and looking at it. With this spray, you don't have to touch anything, just use a couple of squirts and you are done. I do love the aroma the spray has, even though there is no fragrance added, it has a natural lavender smell and it is divine. I am a huge fan of lavender anything so that was an added bonus for me. I love anything that may help calm my kids down!

You can purchase this spray here in a 1 ounce travel size for $3.75 or a 4 ounce size for $9.95. I was sent the travel size and am itching to buy the bigger bottle! They also sell the Wipe Companion in a concentrate for $15.95 to make several batches of this stuff at home. I actually told my husband to get it for my Christmas stocking! :) What can I say? We are a cloth wipes using family!

The next item I reviewed is the Belly Oil.

This oil is supposed to prevent stretch marks by enhancing the skin's elasticity. This oil quickly(and I mean quickly) absorbs into the skin to prevent dryness and leave your skin feeling soft! I am not currently pregnant. I just wanted to put that out there! I have a 10 month old little girl named Violet and a tummy area that could use all the TLC it can get. I wanted to try this oil out because ever since I had her, my belly has been DRY. I cant slather lotion on fast enough. It is the weirdest thing. I do have a few stretch marks and so I figured, anything that can provide the moisture I need and maybe help my stretch marks is something I want to try. I cant vouch for it's ability to fade stretch marks, since that isn't what it claims to do, it claims to PREVENT them. I'm stuck with mine for life, but I do know moisturized skin will help them fade faster and make my skin healthy! I had tried dozens of lotions to moisturize, and so we moved on to the oil. I am in heaven! They use Emu and Kukui oils in this that are known to soothe skin and prevent stretch marks. They do say their oil can be used to nourish the skin after delivering so yay! My purpose for buying it did not make me look nuts since I am not pregnant. This stuff works, especially if your skin could use some TLC like mine sure needed. I used this before bed and woke up feeling like a new woman. I became hooked!

You can purchase the Belly Oil here for $8.50 for a 2 ounce bottle. A little goes a long way girls!

The Homestead Company offers many other goodies such as:

Hand and Foot Scrub - $18.99

Peppermint/Eucalyptus Lotion - $11.99

And their featured product, Eczema Oil This sells for $5.75. There are still many others you can choose from too! These are only a few!

I urge anyone looking to try natural products or who are just getting their feet wet to try these first. They are gentle and easy to use as well as easy to fall in love with and pamper yourself with! I am dying to try the hand and foot scrub!

You can purchase any of the products the Homestead Company offers here:
