I absolutely love working with MomSelect doing reviews for various products. I love it because I get to learn about new products before many other people and I also love to play with the goodies they send. My favorite reason is spreading the word though! I recently received a Hot Locks Doll to review and one to give away as well! These dolls are so adorable! Check a few pictures out:
This doll's name is Sydney and she is a Deluxe doll, meaning she comes with a few extra goodies. She comes with a hair dryer stamper, hair fall barrette, 4 mini barrettes and a styling comb. These deluxe dolls retail for a very affordable $12.99 at Toys R Us. They are also available at Walmart. Here is another picture of Sydney:
These pictures really do not do her justice. She is so cute! I love all of the little details and the gorgeous long hair! My husband thinks it is cute I received a doll to play with! In reality, I will be putting her up for my little Violet to play with down the road. These dolls are recommended for ages 4 and up but I could see a younger girl playing them without all the accessories(these are labelled as a choking hazard for little ones under 3, so if you let a little one play with them, keep a close eye on them and keep the little pieces up).
The doll I received to give away is called Nahla:
She is a basic doll and comes with 3 barrettes and a styling comb! These sell exclusively at Toys R Us and Walmart for a super affordable $7.99!
These dolls are very affordable and so much fun! They come with a ton of hair that little girls(and mommies!) can style over and over again. I have to admit that all the Barbies I had when I was little usually ended up naked, but always had stylish hair! I loved doing their hair and I know any little girl would have fun doing these doll's hair! These would also make great birthday gifts for last minute birthday parties without busting your wallet!
Now I have to say that the eco-friendly side of me tends to stay away from plastic dolls, but my daughter will have a couple and this will be one of them!
They are currently available in Phoenix and Chicago now (will be available nationwide this summer).

I didn't really play with dolls when I was little. I was more of a bugs & mud sort of girl. But my daughter likes dolls.

As a kid I had a ton of dolls, but I almost always chose to play with my 'boy' dolls instead of the girl dolls - I think I wanted a son, haha.
