Things That Make Scents Review and Giveaway!

I love candles. I don't know anyone who doesn't like candles! What I hate about traditional paraffin candles is the black smoke and soot. I hate not knowing what I am burning or what is going in the air. I worry about chemicals in all the aspects of our lives and candles are no different! I was thrilled and over-joyed when Things That Make Scents agreed to do a blog review with me! Things That Makes Scents was created in 2002 to bring candle lovers a healthier alternative in candles. They started with just 100% soy candles and then introduced ADORABLE aroma critters. In 2007, they opened their first retail factory and store in New Jersey! Things That Make Scents owner, Janine, was just as frustrated as I was with the black smoke emitted from paraffin based candles. She discovered the joy of soy based wax. Soy wax is cleaner and healthier, but it also lasts longer! For us hard-core candle burners, candles lasting longer is music to our ears! I cant tell you how many times I have gotten frustrated with the horrible life of paraffin candles! Things That Make Scents help our candles last even longer by using cotton core or hemp wicks! Soy candles are created from non toxic, natural soybeans and when you burn them correctly, are virtually pollution free! Makes sense to me!

When my package from Janine at Things That Make Scents arrived, I was overjoyed! I got much more than I expected from her. I cant tell you how wonderful she is with her customers and I know you will get nothing but fabulous care with her! She really loves her company and so do I! She graciously sent me 2 cupcake candles, one in the Birthday Cake scent and another in a Butterscotch Brownie scent. My son was convinced they were for him to eat! I had to literally take the Birthday Cake one out, take it out of the foil and light it to show him it was a candle. What did he do next? He blew out the candle and told me it was time for cake! haha. Both cupcake candles smell heavenly! The Birthday Cake candle was a HUGE hit at my daughter's first birthday party as well! Everyone thought it was so adorable and the whole entire house smelled of delicious birthday cake!

The butterscotch brownie soy cupcake candle. It smells absolutely divine! I have no idea how they get these scents so dead on, but they do! These sell for $4.99.

The hit of my daughter's first birthday, the birthday cake cupcake candle! It smells JUST like the real deal. Maybe you can fool your friends? This also sells for $4.99.

I think these delicious cupcake candles would do a much better job of tricking people than those Glade candles do! They honesty smell just like baked goods! You can also buy Bailey's Coconut Cream Pie, Carnival, CinnaBun and Deep Fried Chocolate Ice Cream scented!

I was also sent a 7 ounce soy jar candle! So amazing! I was sent the scent Surf's Up. The second I opened this jar I was bombarded with memories of spending my summers in California with tons of suntan oil on, laying on the beach. Surf's Up smells like a delightful combination of suntan oil, sand, water and wind. ahhhhh I am in heaven every time I light this candle. The best part about it? I know it will last me a long time! I have been burning it for the last few days and it has barely any wax gone at all!

These wonderful candles also come in a 16 oz and 26 oz jars! I KNOW I will be purchasing a 26 ounce jar of Surf's Up soon! The 7 oz jars sell for $8.99, the 16 oz jars sell for $14.99 and the 26 oz jars sell for $17.99! Such amazing deals, especially since they will last for such a long time!

Things That Make Scents also sell tealights and votives, as well as melts and tarts!

Honestly though, I cannot wait to buy some of these:

These are aroma critters! These are wax dipped animals for scent lovers who do not want to burn a candle! They will last for months and just sit on a coaster on a shelf! So sweet! They also sell dogs and cats. These are $19.99!

I love that Things That Make Scents is an earth friendly company and that their products are amazing! These would all be wonderful as gifts or just for yourself!
