Bloom'en Nutrition Prenatal Chews Review and Giveaway

When I am pregnant, I don't just get morning sickness. I get hyperemesis gravidarum. What is that? Extreme, persistent nausea and vomiting during pregnancy that can lead to dehydration. In my case, it did lead to dehydration. With my son I was hospitalized for four days. Every OBGYN will tell you to take your prenatal vitamins religiously, but during the first 18 weeks of my pregnancies, taking a vitamin was the last thing on my mind. I was more worried about keeping water down! Okay, so why am I talking about all of this? The title may have given me away! I would have given my right arm for Bloom'en's Prenatal Vitamin Chews during my pregnancies! Why didn't someone think of this sooner? I think so many women try to put on a brave face and just deal with the morning sickness. Every pregnant woman I knew made is sound like it was no big deal, but it was for me! Either it really wasn't for them, or pregnancy amnesia took over and they dont remember! I am so happy to have discovered Bloom'em Nutrition!

Bloom'en started with a story similar to mine. The creator of this genius product, Rebecca had similar issues with morning sickness and couldn't figure out why some kind of alternative to pills didn't exist! She worked for the nutrition industry helping vitamin manufacturers make the highest quality products, and she found another way! Bloom'en created a yummy soft chew that contains the essential nutrients you need! Each chew contains the DHA and EPA omega-3 oils and the folic acid expecting moms need. Each Blossom(that is what they call the chews) also contains vitamin D and lutein, a powerful antioxidant found in breast milk that also supports healthy vision and skin elasticity. Blossoms are cold-processed to ensure proper potency of the vital ingredients! Bloom'en Blossoms are also doctor recommended. I think these are absolutely genius!

I know many of you may be thinking I might be pregnant, but I am not. I am a nursing mom and still take my prenatal vitamins. I was lucky enough to get to review these yummy little gems and I am so glad I did! Not only are they great for nursing moms as well, but now I know what I can use during my next pregnancy(hopefully we will start trying in September)! I love being prepared and now I know to stock up on tubs of these a few months before we start trying. Blossoms offer a simple and easy way to get nutrients essential for trying to conceive as well. Just chew up one chew each morning and you are good to go.

Many may be wondering the amount of each nutrient that are in these chews, and here you go:

Omega-3 Fatty Acids: DHA and EPA - 129 mg
Folic Acid - 200 mcg
Vitamin D - 500 IU
Lutein - 5 mg

Each chew is also free of artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. You can download the Healthcare Provider Practitioner Prenatal Summary here.

I'm going to talk cost here, but in my opinion, these babies are priceless! I would pay anything to be able to take something that will keep me and my baby healthy while I am puking up everything I eat! Luckily you wont be paying an arm and a leg for these! You can even order 2 sample packs with 2 chews each for free, just pay the $2.50 shipping! A one month supply will cost you $16.99 - I personally expected it to be a lot more, but some may be deterred since they get prental coverage through their insurance. I got my prenatal vitamins covered as well, but I couldn't take them so it was pointless. I think they are worth every penny! If you want to purchase Bloom'en's Blossoms, go here.

I can't say enough good things about this prodcut. They taste really good and I am so thrilled to have an alternative for my next pregnancy!

  1. I am 15 weeks pregnant and the prenatal vitamins (aka horse pills) my doctor gave me are a joke. Every night it takes me several tries to get them down. A chewable replacement would be a godsend!

  2. I'm going on 30 weeks pregnant with my second surrogate baby. It's amazing I've done even one surrogacy after the fun my twin pregnancy put me through years ago.

When I was 12 weeks and had terrible morning sickness, my husband kindly made me breakfast. It included scrambled eggs.. bad idea. Without getting too detailed, I will say that scrambled eggs ended up projectile vomitted all over our kitchen - cabinets, fridge, window, you name it. I had not even half a second to hold it in. And when I stood there staring at the mess, my husband stood behind me laughing.. LOL!

  3. I could not stand the smell of peach-scented anything and brushing my teeth made me gag. Not a horror story, but certainly not a fun way to spend 3 months.

  4. Wow...these sound awesome! My first pregnancy was a dream, but this time around has been a little more rough. Taking care of a toddler while feeling like you might spew can definitely be a challenge. Would love to try these!

  5. My friend went through the worst before she knew she was pregnant...she demanded we go to IHOP one morning because all she could think about were pancakes!
She had 2 bites then retreated to the bathroom to have her first morning sickness moment.
24 hours later and a Docter confirmed, a baby was on the way! Yay!...i have never looked at IHOP the same way since.

  8. My morning sickness nightmare was when I would throw up every morning, on the way to work, when I was expecting my eldest child. My husband was driving, and I would roll the window down, to throw up as he drove. One time, my vomit flew backwards at the windshield behind us. It was gross!

  14. When I was pregnant with my twins we lived in place that had putrid water. Many times daily without fail every time I turned on the water it was so bad i'd end up puking in the sink. I'm so glad we don't live there anymore!

I'd love to win since I'm currently nursing twins and am taking prenatals.
