Another Earth Day article! I know it's late in the day on Earth Day, but here goes!
For your garden, think about purchasing a solar powered garden globe.
I bet you didn't know you could buy a wind up radio!
You can also purchase wind up flashlights, as well as solar powered flashlights! These save tons of batteries!
CFL light bulbs, and LED lights will save you money in the long run and keep more light bulbs out of landfills.
You can also purchase the Solio Mag solar powered charger.
Do you like to camp? Consider buying a solar powered lantern!
Yes, there are options to batteries as well! Purchase USB rechargeable batteries!
Are you a huge soda drinker? I am in LOVE with my SodaStream Soda Maker, and I am keeping dozens of bottles out of landfills by making my own soda and reusing the bottles! Check out my previous review here.

I recycle and use eco-friendly water bottles.
ReplyDeleteWe try to rethink new uses for larger items, before we throw them away. We made my nephew an aquarium from a real old TV cabinet for example. We've also reused wood and lumber for different projects.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. We'd love to own one of these SodaStreams. Thanks.

My latest earth friendly project was setting up (and then expanding) my rain water harvesting system. I can now store up to 3400 gallons at a time! And, if I use some of the rainwater for my fruit trees and veggie garden (also earth friendly) between storms, I can capture more rain with the next storm!
