Protect Your Skin With MD Moms Babysafe Sunscreen Towelettes

There has been a TON of talk lately about how sunscreen could cause cancer. I'm not sure what to believe, but I have never been a Mom who obsessively applied sunscreen to their kids. That being said, we live in Arizona, and we go to the zoo and the park and we need sunscreen. I apply sunscreen before outings like the park, but I choose not to worry about it for trips to the grocery store or library. We need the sun to give us adequate amounts of Vitamin D. I want my kids to be able to absorb the Vitamin D they need and that is what glorious sunshine is for. If we are outside for long periods of time, there is no question that I put sunscreen on myself and the kids.

But which sunscreens are safe? I know they have to be loaded with tons of chemicals, just like every other personal care item, like shampoo and deodorant. I was thrilled when I had the chance to review MD Moms Baby Silk Baby Safe Sunscreen Towelettes! MD Moms was started by Diane Truong, MD, FAAP and JJ Levenstein, MD, FAAP. They were inspired by their patients and own children to create Baby Silk, the first pediatrician-developed personal care line for babies!

The Baby Safe Sunscreen Towelettes are one of my absolute favorite products for summer. They are easy, convenient and safe for my little ones. The wipes come in a package of 15 for $26.00. I know this seems steep, but let me give you a rundown of what you get.

- Contains no phthalates, lanolin, mineral oil, petroleum or waxes

- Contains physical sunscreens, titanium and zinc oxide, as the only active ingredients. No chemical sunscreen ingredients.

- Broad Spectrum: protects against UVA and UVB rays

- UVA rating: PA+++ (provides the highest level of protection against UVA rays)

- Clinically tested, hypoallergenic & dermatologist approved

- Made in the USA. No animal testing(woohoo!)

- Water resistant and sweatproof

- Each wipe has enough sunscreen to cover the average 2 year old from head-to-toe

- Only $1.73 per premeasured application! (When using even half the recommended dose, typical lotion sunscreens are between $2 - $5 per application)

- TSA-approved for carry-on luggage

If you take into consideration that most people do not put on enough sunscreen for it to be effective, these really aren't more expensive. I know with a bottle of sunscreen I am tempted to use less because I dont want to waste it. With these wipes I know one wipe is going to do the job, I'm using the right amount and I am not wasting. I don't use sunscreen all the time, so I know these will last me awhile, probably through the end of summer. In the Fall and Winter I don't worry about sunscreen.

I adore the light scent, not like typical sunscreen you can smell from a mile away. I love that I dont feel greasy and heavy with this on. It can be used on babies as little as 6 months and is SPF 30. It is MUCH easier to apply this to my little ones than it is to apply lotion types of sunblock. No more getting sunblock all over me while trying to get it on them!

I'm sure you can tell that I was and continue to be thrilled with these wipes! You can purchase some for yourself here. And make sure you use promo code SUMMER for free shipping and handling now through September 5th!

I want to say a HUGE thank you to MD Moms for this amazing review opportunity!
