Who has ever been a Dreft junkie? I'm raising my hand right now. I know it's not eco-friendly, but I didn't know better and oh gosh, the smell. Baby clothes need that baby smell. It's all mental, sure, but I can't help myself. I can't do the free and clear detergents. Ever since my daughter was born, I've been on my eco quest and now that we are trying for #3, naturally I need a different detergent. Now, I may get Dreft as a present, and if I do, I will still use it. There is no sense in adding waste to the world, it's better to use it up than throw it away. Now, all that being said, I have a new baby laundry love. Like I said, I was on a quest to find non-toxic baby detergent and it led me to The Laundress.

I love that excerpt from the website and really, it says it all. These two ladies wanted something better for them, their clothing and the Earth, so they set out to get it. We all get to benefit from their hard work.
I was sent The Laundress Baby Detergent to review during my Baby Shower Bash and I think it is one of my favorite products. I seriously think I am addicted to it now. The scent is amazing. I want every piece of baby clothing to always smell like their baby scent. Even my Husband loved it! He usually has zero opinion in these matters, so that says tons! Have a look at how gorgeous it is:
This 32 ounce bottle of detergent sells for $20.50. Before you cry because of the price, hear me out! This baby is 3x concentrated, absolutely non-toxic, biodegradable and allergen free! So awesome and so worth the price. If you hand wash and use 1/16 of a cup or 3/4 of a capful you will get 64 washes out of it! If you have an HE machine, and use 1/8 of a cup or 1.5 capfuls, you will get 32 washes. Lastly, if you have a regular washing machine and you use 1/4 of a cup or 3 capfuls, you will get 16 washes. I think handwashing or using an HE machine are the better ways to go here, but I still think it's a great deal even if you have a regular machine!
I cant wait for baby #3 because they are going to smell amazing with their clothes washed in The Laundress Baby Detergent!
